FAQs

  • Kingdom Inclusion creates inclusive spaces where teens and adults with disabilities belong, connect, and grow in faith and community.

We believe every person is made in the image of God and has a place in His Kingdom. Too often, individuals with disabilities and their families experience isolation — even in spaces meant to feel welcoming.

At Kingdom Inclusion, we are changing that story.

Through Inclusion Hangouts, The Great Banquet, and other community gatherings, we create environments where people are known by name, celebrated for who they are, and invited into meaningful relationships. Families find rest. Volunteers discover purpose. And together, we grow in faith and belonging.

Kingdom Inclusion exists so that no one has to wonder if there is a place for them — because there is.

  • The Great Banquet is Kingdom Inclusion’s annual red carpet celebration where teens and adults with disabilities are honored as guests of honor.

Inspired by Jesus’ parable of the great banquet, this unforgettable night is filled with dinner, dancing, friendship, and joy. Guests are welcomed with dignity, celebrated for who they are, and invited into a night designed just for them.

Guests under the age of 21 are paired with a dedicated buddy who walks alongside them throughout the evening. Guests 21 and over have the option to be paired with a buddy or attend independently. This ensures every guest feels supported, safe, and free to fully enjoy the experience.

More than an event, The Great Banquet is a declaration of belonging — a visible reminder that everyone has a place at the table.

  • Kingdom Inclusion programs and events are designed for teens and adults with disabilities and for volunteers of all ages who want to help create spaces of belonging.

Teens and adults with disabilities are welcomed as participants and guests at our gatherings, celebrations, and programs.

Volunteers of all ages play an important role in helping create safe, inclusive environments. Volunteers under the age of 12 are welcome to serve alongside an adult age 18 or older.

Together, participants, families, and volunteers form a community where everyone has a place and everyone belongs.

  • No. You do not need to attend Crossroads or any specific church to participate in Kingdom Inclusion.

Kingdom Inclusion is open to teens and adults with disabilities and to volunteers from any church background — or no church background at all. Our gatherings are designed to be welcoming, safe, and accessible for everyone.

If you’re looking for a place where you or your loved one can belong, you’re welcome here.

  • No. There is no cost to attend Kingdom Inclusion programs or events.

All of our gatherings are offered at no cost to participants and families. We believe access to belonging, community, and faith should never be limited by financial barriers.

Our programs are made possible through the generosity of donors, partners, and volunteers who help ensure everyone is welcomed freely.

  • Kingdom Inclusion supports individuals with disabilities by creating intentional spaces of belonging, connection, and growth.

Rather than focusing on limitations, we focus on relationships. Our programs are designed to be welcoming, flexible, and accessible, meeting individuals where they are and honoring each person as they are.

We support individuals with disabilities by:

    • Creating safe, inclusive environments where participants are known by name and celebrated

    • Offering consistent gatherings that foster friendship, routine, and trust

    • Providing trained and caring volunteers who walk alongside participants with patience and respect

    • Encouraging spiritual growth through worship, prayer, and age-appropriate Bible teaching

    • Partnering with families to ensure participants feel supported and valued

At Kingdom Inclusion, support looks like community — a place where individuals are not fixed or managed, but welcomed, empowered, and invited to belong.

  • Volunteers are at the heart of Kingdom Inclusion.

There are many ways to get involved, whether you’re looking to serve regularly or help at a specific event. Volunteers help create safe, joyful spaces where teens and adults with disabilities can connect, belong, and thrive.

    Ways to Volunteer Include:

    • Walking alongside participants at Inclusion Hangouts and events

    • Serving as a buddy at The Great Banquet

    • Helping with hospitality, setup, or behind-the-scenes support

    • Supporting special events and community gatherings

No prior experience is required — just a willingness to show up with kindness, patience, and an open heart.

    How to Get Started:

    1. Complete a volunteer interest form

    2. Attend a brief orientation or training

    3. Serve in a way that fits your availability and gifts

Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Volunteers under the age of 12 serve alongside an adult age 18 or older.

Whether you serve once or continue long-term, your presence helps create moments of connection and belonging.

  • Yes. All Kingdom Inclusion volunteers receive training and support.

Training is designed to be welcoming, practical, and role-specific. Our goal is to help every volunteer feel confident, prepared, and supported — not overwhelmed.

    Volunteer training may include:

    • An overview of Kingdom Inclusion’s heart, values, and approach to inclusion

    • Guidance on building respectful, supportive relationships

    • Role-specific expectations (Sunday mornings, events, buddies, hospitality, etc.)

    • Safety guidelines and best practices

Training looks different depending on the role and level of involvement and may include brief orientations, online resources, or in-person training opportunities.

Volunteers are never expected to have all the answers. We believe in learning together and walking alongside one another as a community.

  • Kingdom Inclusion is funded through the generosity of donors, partners, and sponsors who believe in creating spaces of belonging.

Our programs and events are offered at no cost to participants and families. This is made possible through a combination of:

    • Individual donations

    • Church and community partnerships

    • Business and event sponsors

    • Support for special events like The Great Banquet

Because of this generous support, we are able to create inclusive gatherings, train and support volunteers, and continue expanding opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities.

Every gift — large or small — helps ensure that everyone is welcomed freely and with dignity.
